375

A skate story inspired by Malaysian skateboarding artist Donald Abraham to solve skateboarder’s everyday problems.

The legendary “Vans Showdown” is an invitational street contest that will give a nod to iconic contests of the past, showcasing skate culture and the highest level of professional skateboarding to all the fans. This year, Vans transcends the Showdown series to Asia Pacific, promoting region’s finest skateboarders and creative minds, while offering support to skate shops and communities through the give back components in various phases of the campaign.

Vans introduces an interactive skate obstacle customization contest made to inspire people around the world by providing the means for creative self-expression through digital to Vans. With this contest, we are asking the public to get creative and help us to design the skatepark obstacles for the final event. The TOP 8 skate shops from the 1st phase will be pitted against each other to battle for the title of Asia’s best skate shop.

We welcome everyone to participate and show us how they think the skatepark of the future should look like. All the submissions will be screened by our judging panel, including Absar Lebeh, Adelaide Norris, Arim Go, Padin Musa, Yang Liu Qing aka 66, and Yuri Murai. They will select 4 obstacle designs, and will have 1 from the public vote. All 5 obstacle designs will be built, showcased and shredded at the final and to top it all off each successful winner will win an expenses-paid trip with a friend to the final’s event when the good times come.

Obstacle Design Submission date – July 28th – Aug 10th
The public voting period from – Aug 19th – Aug 25th
