At last! The Oakley Store has opened in BGC! Last November 26, Oakley Philippines opened its premiere stand alone store in Bonifacio Highstreet. Together with this, Oakley Philippines had the first VIP Event outside the US wherein the top 6 collectors of the country showcased their most prized possessions for everyone to see.
Oakley was started by James Jannard in 1975 out of his garage with an initial investment of $300. The name “Oakley” came from Jannard’s dog, an English Setter. Jannard began by selling what he called ‘The Oakley Grip’ out of the back of his car at motocross events. His motorcycle grips were unlike other grips available at the time, using a patented material known as ‘Unobtanium’, a unique creation by Jannard. The material is still used to make the earsocks on Oakley glasses, and many of the nose piece. Read more http://www.oakley.com/innovation/history.
Open to cater more Filipino customers, the Oakley store in Bonifacio Highstreet has one of the best concepts in store design to help gain better customer experience. Oakley’s open eyewear display allow customers to touch and feel the new product, compare different frame material and choose the eyewear that best fits their face.
Oakley is officially distributed by MEERA ENTERPRISES, INC. in the Philippines.
Oakley was created for world-class athletes, those who see the limits of possibility as just another challenge. Their dedication drives us to look beyond the conventional ideas of industry standards. It’s in our DNA to identify problems, create inventions, and wrap those inventions in art. And simply to make things better than anyone thought possible.
