In a remarkable turn of events, Top Philippine skimboard athlete from Cebu Arjun Jimenez won the title in the semi-pro and 22-29 age division of the recently concluded Balboa Oktoberfest the final stop of the United Skim Tour in Newport Beach, California.

After his win in Hong kong last August, Arjun consistently trained for this competition. “I know I can win this year’s United Skim Tour. I’m well prepared for this competition.” Said Arjun during our short conversation in Zambales last month.
Meanwhile, Borongan’s pride Roderick “Manoy” Bazar placed 3rd in 22-29 year old division. Manoy also won the 33rd Zap Amateur World Championship of Skimboarding in Delaware last August. He also gained recognition for his achievements in skimboarding in his hometown in Borongan, Eastern Samar.

The Philippine power skim duo are all pumped out to continue their reign as the best Filipino skimboarders of all time. Arjun and Manoy dominated the annual event and showed the global skimboarding community that Filipino skimboarders has what it takes to be the best in this emerging sport.
