22 May 2013, Jakarta – Quiksilver, in partnership with Sein Wut Hmon Company Limited (SWH Asia), have opened their first Quiksilver store on 12 May 2013 in Kamayut Township, Rangoon, Myanmar. This is Quiksilver’s first store to be opened in the country that has experienced years of isolation and has only recently opened up to the world.
Located in the bustling capital city of Myanmar, just across the road from the family residence of the Vice President the new Quiksilver store is stocked with a complete range of Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Shoes apparel and accessories for men and women.
“I am so excited to be opening our first store in Myanmar. The product offering is great, so fresh and relevant to today’s generations. Our customer reactions have been very positive – we have already started looking for a location for our second store,” said SWH Asia’s Director, Lynn Khine.
“We are excited to open our first store in Myanmar, as the country is now starting to open itself up to foreign brands, we are stoked to introduce the youth market to the boardriding sport and lifestyle.” said Quiksilver South Asia Marketing Executive, Sammy Gosling.
In celebration of the store opening, the Quiksilver Store held a skate demo by DC pro teamrider’s from Indonesia, Pevi Permana and Absar Lebeh. Joining them were many of Myanmar’s local riders who are showing huge potential as they start to learn more about the technicalities of skateboarding.
The Quiksilver Store in Myanmar is located at No. 26 Inya Road – Kamayut Township, Rangoon. Store hours are from 09.00 am to 08.00 pm.
