Philippines Trip 2011 – Three Sixty Project

Three Sixty Project was birthed from the concept of ‘one for one’. The idea itself is quite simple – for every skateboard we sell through our website, we send one overseas (or within Australia) in support of Skate Programs developed to work with youth in that specific area.

When an opportunity to ship some Three Sixty love to the Philippines popped up, we jumped on it right away. The Phillies is one of the countries I first had in mind to support when establishing the Project – and here we are, about to send 10 brand new Three Sixty Project skateboards to this beautiful country in Southeast Asia.

One Friday Skate Ministry is based in Queensland, Australia, but works with skateboarding youth all over the country. They travel to skate parks in remote locations and just hang with the kids in the local area, making a positive difference in their lives and hooking them up with product and new skills.

In May 2011, Three Sixty Project supported One Friday by donating 10 Three Sixty decks. Des Rountree heads up this trip each year, and these are his words:

For the past three years I been taking a team of skaters to the Philippines to support and encourage the skaters in the Bicol Region. This year Three Sixty Project donated 10 boards to give away to those who needed them and some as competition prizes.
Hopefully this clip presents a good visual understanding of some of the fun we had there.
