Here are some highlights of the recently concluded Visayan Trilogy journey, from Bacolod, to Dumaguete and Siquijor leg. Push race in Bacolod under the scorching heat of the sun. Unexpectedly, when I joined the race, I’m using a slippers instead of my skate shoes that’s why I ended up having a blister on my left big toe. After the push race, we headed straight to fuel our selves with Bacolod’s best tasting chicken Inasal with unlimited servings of rice inpreparation for our 6 hour travel to Dumaguete City. We had our dinner in Dumaguete City, trying out some tasting and mouth watering dishes that they offer.
Gathering of longboarders for the push race
The City of Bacolod is home for a lot of talented longboarders. Their facebook page, Bacolod Longboarding Community gives us an up to date news and events in this small city inNegros Occidental. Meeting some longboarders here was a great experience.
6 hour bus ride from Bacolod City to Dumaguete City was so tiring. The sad part about this journey is that we are seated near the drivers seat, under his seat is the engine of the bus which adds up the heat and for the uncomfortable feeling during the 6 hour bus ride.
Dumaguete City’s port serves as a gateway for you to reach the Island of Siquijor. You’ll have to ride a small ferry passenger boat for about an hour and experience some breath taking view of Siquijor island.
It was an unforgettable journey. It was truly an awesome Visayan tour. The culture, camaraderie and experience is the most memorable part of the tour.
