Zoltan “The Magician” Torkos placed him self in the record books after nailing the first ever surfing kickflip. According to Grind TV, because surfboards are bigger and waves are mobile and do not offer reliable lift-off and landing points, performing this trick in the water is a far more difficult prospect. Torkos had been trying to land one since 2007 and finally nailed the trick at Streamer lane in his hometown Santa Cruz.
Kickflip, a term invented for the sports of skateboarding, generally popular and mostly done by skaters. I can’t hardly imagine how he managed to pull that trick in a surfboard. With dedication and practice, Zoltan proves that impossible is nothing. Zoltan Torkos won $10,000 from Vlocom for the surf kickflip he made. He dedicated the trick to his friend, Carl Reimer who passed away.
