My Life on Board Wake Ambassador Mark Griffin

A phenomenal wakeboard athlete, Mark Griffin, known to be a beast when he’s in the water charging cable wakeparks, pushing his limits when he is on his wakeboard. As I observe every spectators when it’s Mark’s turn to shred, everyone is focused and in awe every time he pulls out his gravity defying surface tricks.

Riding for LWA Wakeboards, Oakley and Stokedinc., Mark has been on and off in his wakeboarding career back then. He started wakeboarding during the 90′s, stopped for a while then came back in 2007. Since then he never stopped riding, improving his skills set one ride at a time.

Mark is a down to earth athlete even when he landed sponsorship deals with LWA Wakeboards, Oakley and Stokedinc. He also had LWA Wakeboards pro-model wakeboard. Earning sponsorships gives you a pat on your back, encouraging you to shred more and give all your best when competing. Aside from this Mark was able to bring home a bronze medal for the Philippines during the South East Asian Games in 2011 together with his team mates, Sam Bermudez and Carlo Dela Torre.

Here are some of the recent achievements of Mark Griffin’s wakeboarding career:

2011 AWPT Singapore 3rd place
2011 AWPT Lago 3rd Place
2011 AWPT Overall 3rd Place
2011 TWP Best Trick Winner
2012 Westside Jam 3rd Place Pro Mens
2012 AWPT Singapore 3rd Place
2012 PQS Deca Clark Winner
2012 Current Points Leader in Asian Wake Park Tour

His source of stoke is when he lands new tricks and hanging out with his new and old riding buddies. Getting lots of inspiration through his family and the  joy that he get from wakeboarding is something he treasures.

“People can go through their whole lives and never find their passion. I feel very lucky I discovered wakeboarding and Im committed to pushing my limits and spreading the stoke for the sport as long as I can!”, says Mark.

Mark is based in Singapore where he considers Ski 360 wakepark as his home cable. You’ll see more of Mark Griffin shredding  cable wakeparks this 2013.
