Sylvester Bactad, a local surfer from Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales is one of the youngest surfers to join the Men’s Shortboard Locals category of the Recent Karayan: Local Surfing Competition in Zambales. Sylvester came out as champion, beating all the older and veteran surfers of their locality.
Sylvester’s dream is to surf the best surf spots in the Philippines. It came true with the help of the Philippine surfing community connected through social media and through his sponsor, Skwala Surfboards.
