Jeff Dela Torre Wins the Majestic Puraran Surfing Cup in the Island of Catanduanes

October 24, 2012, Puraran, Baras, Catanduanes island: It was an epic battle in the finals as the best surfers in the Philippines gathered in the island of Catanduanes for the Majestic Puraran Surfing Cup held last October 19-23, 2012. The island of Catanduanes is located in the easternmost part of the Bicol peninsula, separated from the mainland Bicol by the Maqueda Channel and the Lagonoy Gulf. This beautiful island is soon to be the next best surfing destination in the Philippines.

 After his 1st place win in the recent 8th Odyssey Waves National Surfing Competition in Calicoan Island, Eastern Samar, Jeff Dela Torre from La Union/ Baler proved himself once again as he showed everyone that he can manage to charge big waves after he conquered the best and massive swells of Puraran in the final heat.

For the Juniors division, Alipayo dominated his heat, beating his teammate John Mark Tokong (2nd), Robinson Dela Torre of Baler (3rd), and Chris Tanaelof Puraran (4th).
