Last April 21-22, 2012, Funbox Skateshop, headed by Mark Adrian Flores together with the local government of Kauswagan in Lanao Del Norte made history as they spearheaded the longest downhill race in the Philippines, the 1st National Mayor’s Cup: 10km Downhill Longboard Race. The event was actually featured in 24 oras, a popular news TV show in the Philippines.
The sport of downhill longboarding is gaining new heights as it continues to soar as one of the fastest growing boardsports in our country.
Here are some highlights of the event courtesy of Mark Adrian Flores of Fun Box Skateshop
Another historical downhill race event paved the way to promote longboarding in our country. This event will sure gain more heights as the local government of the said province will continue to support this fun filled downhill race that tested the wits and stamina of our racers.
